UGANDA : Bushcourt post first National Basketball League win

Bushcourt 66-53 Diamonds In The Sun
Bushcourt’s point guard, Brian Cucu said they would look and play better on Sunday afternoon against Diamonds In The Sun compared to their first two games of the 2015 National Basketball League season.
The NBL freshers did just that and recorded a 66-53  win over Diamonds at YMCA for their first win in Uganda’s premier basketball division.
Bushcourt (1-2) trailed by six points going into the final quarter but exploded for 28 points – limiting their opponents to 11 – in final ten minutes and pinned a 13 points loss to Diamonds on a the afternoon and DITS’ third in a row.
Cucu led Bushcourt’s balanced team effort with 14 points – connecting 4-of-6 from 3-point range.The guard also picked team high 6 rebounds and handed out 3helpers. Jonathan Kirya added 10 points while Fahad Basena, Donald Ssempewa and Stephen Nyeko contributed 8 points each.
Emma Odonkar had game high 17 points and 8 boards for DITS in a losing effort. 2013 Regular Season MVP, Ben Okumu had 12 points and game high 11 rebounds.
With another winless side, Our Saviour their next opponent, it gets no tougher for Diamonds
