KENYA : KPA Couch Ojukwu Praises His Boys After Capturing Title


KENYA Ports Authority's Ariel Okal and Zetech University Jeremy Yongo were declared the Most Valuable Players as the national basketball championships concluded at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani over the weekend.
The duo played key roles in guiding their respective teams to capture the 2014 basketball titles in the series finals. Oka, the national team and KPA centre who was the most over-worked player in the series, took home Sh50,000 while Zetech utility player Yongo, a clutch scorer for the varsity side, pocketed Sh25,000.
They were instrumental throughout the four and three games they played respectively, setting their teams to historic wins. KPA beat Ulinzi 3-1 and were awarded Sh1 million while Zetech were 3-0 winners over Umoja and received Sh400,000.
Both the runners up Ulinzi and Umoja bagged Sh600,000 and Sh200,000 respectively for their efforts.
