NIGERIA : Gombe Bulls, Kwara Falcons Qualify for DSTV Basketball League

At the end of a weeklong hostility in the National Division 1 Basketball League in Gombe State which served as qualifiers for the elite league, Gombe Bulls and Kwara Falcons have qualified for the elite basketball league.
Gombe Bulls made if from the Savannah Conference while Kwara Bulls qualified from the Atlantic Conference.
The league held from December 16-23 and its conclusion saw the emergence of the two teams promoted to play in the new season of the Dstv Premier League to dunk off early next year.
The promoted teams will replace the two demoted teams from the premiership and the affected teams will be formally announced before the start of the 2013/2014 season.
Some of the teams that took in the championship included Ahip Giants of Kano, Chariots of Lagos, Kwara Falcons, Benue Braves, FCT Rocks, NAF Rockets, Civil Defence, Kano Pyramids and host Gombe Bulls.
A technical meeting was held on 16 December to herald the championship
