SEYCHELLES : Division two knockout

Bullets fly into final

After missing out on the second division title last weekend, Cascade Bullets now have another chance of claiming a piece of silverware as they gear up to face Juniors in the division two knockout final.

In the semifinal match played on Thursday, the Bullets managed to overcome Razors to book their place in today’s final scheduled to start at 2pm at Victoria Gymnasium.

Things started off well for the Bullets when they took an early four-point lead after the first quarter (16-12). However, things changed in the second as Razors rallied back to win it 20-8 to lead by 8 points – 32-24 – at half-time.

Cascade needed to regain the concentration to avoid another disappointment and they did just that when they reduced the deficit to 3 points – 37-40 – after they won the third quarter 13-8.

The fourth 10-minute spell would prove to be very decisive and it was when the Bullets played their best throughout the game as they went on to win it 28-15 and clinch the game on a 65-55 final score.

The win means Cascade will meet the young Juniors side who upset Anse Etoile earlier on Tuesday.
The final will be played today at 2pm at Victoria Gymnasium with both teams doing their best to win.

The Bullets need the win to perhaps give them a boost in their quest to reach the top division via the playoffs, while Juniors will be aiming to continue their giant-killing act which would surely be a memorable victory for the young players.
