NIGERIA : Enterprising Ikyaator Powered Union Bank Past Urunani

Nigeria international point guard, Orseer Ikyaator was in superb form yesterday scoring 23 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds to help Union Bank basketball club secure a 40 points margin victory over Urunani basketball club of Burundi at the final round of the 26th FIBA Africa Champions Club for Men in Rabat, Morocco.

Ikyaator good court vision and decision proved too much for the Burundian who were overwhelm by the 'Stallion Boy' as the Nigerian are also known as they powered to second victory in a group-A game of the preliminary round of the champions cup.
The game which was the second of game Day-3 saw Union Bank winning in all four quarters by 18-12, 17-10, 24-11 and 25-11 points as they observe today as rest day.
Other Union Bank players who recorded a double figure include Nigeria international combo-guard Mohammed Bukar with 13 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds and William Ndounmbe scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists while centre Godspower Igben grabbed 13 rebounds for the Nigerian side who defeated ASB Mazembe basketball club of Democratic Republic of Congo on Tuesday at the magnificient Salle Athallah Bouzzaoui gymnasium in Rabat by 68-49 points having lost its group-A opening game to Angolan league champion GDR Libolo basketball club 80-85 points on Monday.
Union Bank search for a comfortable finish in the group continue on Friday when it file out against Benghazi, Libya-based Al Ahly basketball club before confronting host club Association Sportive de Sale basketball Club (AS Sale) of Morocco on Saturday.
Union Bank head coach Ayinla Johnson describe the 40 points margin victory over Urunani as a sign of good things to come from his wards who could only manage to record three points in the third quarter against Mazembe on Tuesday.
