KENYA : Thriller as Eagle Wings face KPA in finals

Former Champions Eagle Wings have their work clearly cut out when they meet a tough KPA side this afternoon at the Nyayo gymnasium, this is game two of the best of three finals. Wings have to win the next two games to snatch the crown from KPA but they are well aware that KPA is some menace and beating them consecutively is some Herculean job. The former Kenyan champions have to be extra smart when they face the current East and Central Africa Clubs Champions, this has been projected to be a thriller with both sides sounding extra confident. Coach Olumbo’s nickname of ‘Smart’ must be portrayed by his side especially on how they will contain KPA’s duo of Brenda Angeshi and Hellen Okech.
“We want to finish this game today and take our trophy back to Mombasa, No third match, we are prepared and ready for today’s clash.” Said Hellen Oketch.
In the likes of Shani Silalei, Samba Mjomba and Angela Okoth, coach ‘Smart’ boasts of an experienced side but he’s well aware the dock women match his side almost in every aspect and should his side commit any small error, they will pay the price by handing KPA the crown.
Eagle Wings are obviously under pressure and must win today’s match if they hold hopes of reclaiming the title they won in 2009. In this game, fans are assured of nothing short of a thriller unlike last weekend one-sided affair between KCB Lions and COOP Bank.
