EGYPT : D1 Round 6 - Ahli Benghazi keeps a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Ahli Benghazi as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ahli Benghazi defeated 7th ranked Madina in Benghazi 75-57. Ahli Benghazi has a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Madina lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with four games lost. Madina will play next round against Jazeera trying to get back on the winning streak. Ahli Benghazi will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Ittihad in Tripoli.
Undefeated Ahli Tripoli (4-1) recorded its first loss at the home court. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Ittihad (4-1) 73-59. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ahli Tripoli. Ittihad moved-up to second place, which they share with Nasr and Ahli Tripoli. Ittihad will play against league's leader Ahli Benghazi at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jazeera will play at home against Madina in Tripoli and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
