NIGERIA : American Scout Lauds Milo Top 50 Camp
Michael Scholl of the Detroit Pistons of United States of America has expressed satisfaction with the standard of this year’s edition of the Nestle Milo sponsored Top 50 basketball clinic.
Scholl, an American scout who has featured in the clinic since 2003 stated that Nigeria would soon emerge tops in basketball on the continent, stressing that the country have abundant talents to lift the country to the next level in slam and dunk.
His words: “With a little time and good organisation, I believe Nigeria have what it takes to become the best basketball country in Africa. I have been to about 32 African countries but I think Nigeria stands out in terms of raw talents than Angola.
“The likes of Ayodeji Egbeyemi 6.4ft, Godwin Oknoji 6.8ft and Loyola Marymount, an associate Head Coach with UNIV were discovered in this camp and they have been improving almost on a daily basis since they arrived the United States,” he informed.
Other NBA scouts who featured in this year’s Milo Top 50 basketball camp are Oklahoma City Thunder’s Patrict Engelbrecht and Gallo Fall who is the director of NBA Africa. Adeka Odaodu and Lateef Erinfolami led the Nigerian top coaches at the clinic.
