Burundi 2010 – Qualifiers Zone V club champions Men : 4 Kenyan teams represent


Reigning champions Co-operative Bank of Kenya and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) have trained well for the event and are all set. So too are national champions KCB Lions and Eagle Wings.

Co-op Bank depart Thursday while KCB Lions, KPA and Eagle Wings will over the weekend.

Emmanuel Agunda, the bankers team manager told Fiba Africa that his boys were all set for the six day festival and was highly optimistic that they would win again to represent the region in the Africa club championships.

"We have trained well. We have few new recruits that have fitted well into our system and all that we are looking forward to is to retain the championships in Burundi once again." said Agunda adding, "the boys are all rearing to go."

According to Zone Five secretary Vitalis Gode a total of 17 clubs from Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Somalia, Kenya and host Burundi are expected to parade for the show.
