14th Champions Cup for women: ABC bow to First Bank 50 - 57

First Bank of Nigeria recorded its first win after beating today ABC of Côte d’Ivoire 57 – 50 in a clash counting for the day 2 of the 14th FIBA Africa Champions Cup for women, played at Nyayo national Stadium gymnasium in Nairobi, Kenya.
The players of First Bank, determinated to erase their defeat against Primero in the day 1, won the first quarter 16 – 6 but Ivorian’s side won the second 13 – 5 but trailed 19 – 21 at the break.
At the resume, First Bank led by Udoka increase their advance by winning the third quarter 21 – 15. The fourth quarter was very tight and finally won by ABC but not enough to avoid the defeat 50 – 57.
The best scorer of the game was Ekworaromandji Joyce of First Bank with 15 points while Udoka Mfon scored 11.
Berte Salimata recorded 13 points for ABC.

In the day 3 to be played tomorrow, ABC will face Radi of DR Congo while First Bank will fight against Eagle Wings of Kenya.
