RWANDA : Country Pip Sudan 76-62

RWANDA'S U-18 basketball team continued their rich form in the ongoing U-18 Zone 5 African championship qualifiers taking place in Kampala, crusing past Sudan by 76-62 points.
The Rwandan youngsters, coached by Croatian trainer Viceslav are now one win away to qualify for the African U-18 championships to be held in Cairo this October.
Captain Crispin Gishoma and forward Elibo Muhire were inspiring form again tormenting the Sudanese defence. Ajuma Gatete and Fiston Muhire top scored with 17 points apiece.
Kenya overwhelmed Burundi 100-69 points, meaning that Burundi will be playing their last game against Uganda for pride. Uganda too will be hoping to salvage some pride after loosing their first 2 games to Burundi and Rwanda respectively.
Rwanda's only hurdle to Cairo now remains Kenya, who like Rwanda, have won their first 2 fixture.
The game against Sudan was watched by the Rwandan Embassy officials in Kampala and a series of Rwandans living in Uganda.
