NIGERIA : Islanders make it 1-1 on the road

Atlantic conference of the Nigeria Basketball Federation premier league side, Islanders basketball club of Lagos secured a valuable win over Tapgun Rockets basketball club of Jos Tuesday after losing scandalously to Niger Potters basketball club of Minna on Monday.
The Coach Ogoh Odaudu side lost to the Minna-based Potters by 102-63 points on Monday the worst lose by the club this season but rose from that challenge to humble Tapgun by 64-57 points.
According to the Islanders coach who says, the lose to Potters does not in any way reflect the strength of the Minna side but just for his side to record a point without much ado.
“WE decide to take the game against Potters with calm so as to avoid the type ugly incidence to happen when Union Bank basketball club came for their road-game when they almost lost a player due to hard play from one of the Potters player.
“We are going to do our best to see if we can pick one or two more games in order to shore up our chances of a playoffs slot at the end of the regular games.
Islanders play Plateau Peaks Wednesday before moving to Bauchi where they will confront home side Bauchi Net on Thursday and Yelwa Hawks on Friday.
