SENEGAL : Gainde Classic: Lions beat SMU 62-54

A national selection of players from Senegal beat on Tuesday the SMU 62-54 at the Stadium Marius Ndiaye.
The selection, coached by Parfait Adjivon led after the first quarter by three points (15-12) and the 'Lions' had a tough second quarter against the visiting students from Dallas.
Propelled by the late addition of Mouhammad Faye (208-F-85) (Senegalese player of SMU), the hosts led at halftime by two points (27-25) and after a strong showing by Biyago Diouf (188-G-88) and Mouhamadou Diop (210-C-87), they led by 12 after the third (48-36).
SMU bounced back eventually thanks two made three-point shots to close the gap(50-48), but Senegal's player kept playing controlled basketball and widened the gap to eight points until the final whistle.
Senegal takes on Athletes in Action today before departing to Mali for another tourney.
