NIGERIA : Organisers Warn Schools, Officials

by Ishola Bashir

Organisers of the Nestle Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship, Nigeria Schools Sports Federation (NSSF) in conjunction with the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) have warned schools and their officials to desist from cheating as those caught will be severely dealt with.

National co-ordinator of the championship, Col. Sam Ahmedu, said that all the schools have been warned not to field non-students in their matches."We will not take it lightly with those found cheating during the championship. We have warned them and we are going to be strict with our rules and regulations.
"We don't want cheating and we have said this all over again. It is purely a schools championship meant for students still in schools and not those that have passed out", he said.

Meanwhile, the conference finals of this year's championship will take-off on Sunday, June 1, with the Savannah conference billed for Kano.
