KENYA : KCB Lions Maintain League Lead

Champions Kenya Commercial Bank Lions retained their position atop the men's basketball Premier League standings after the latest round of matches.
Also in with a chance is Co-operative bank, who also won their first leg matches at Nyayo Stadium.
The KCB Lions mauled Strathmore University 74-63 to maintain their league leadership with 10 points. They have won all their five matches so far.
Co-op Bank beat International Christian Centre 100-79.
Against Strathmore University, Lions went up 23-14 in the first quarter and remained focused to lead 42-38 at half-time.
Tobias Onyango scored game-high 33 points while Yoni Wanambiro hit 11 for Lions.
Charles Okoth scored 13 points, Paul Nyakinda added 12 and Kennedy Maru replied 11 for the losers.
Allan Ouma scored 12 points, George Kamau managed 14 and Lewis Muya 12 as Co-op Bank became the first team to cross the century mark this year.
Co-op Bank's 100-79 win over ICC kept them in second position with seven points. They have played four matches, won three and lost one, 72-69 to Lions.
Kenyatta University Pirates had mixed luck.
After losing 91-70 to ICC, the students under coach Waringo Gitau recovered to dismiss Tigers of the United States International University 73-63.
Griffins Ligare was on fire, scoring 26 points and Hannington Sitati 13 for Pirates, who had trailed 37-35 at the breather. Rocky Otieno shot 16 ponits for Tigers.
African Nazarene University harvested three points from their two tight weekend matches.
Edgar Kisalu scored 13 points while Mike Angaine shot 12 in ANU's 59-44 win over fellow students Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
ANU had a narrow 27-26 half-time lead.
