ANGOLA : Petro's Coach Recognises 1º De Agosto's Superiority

The coach of the senior males basketball team of Petro de Luanda, Alberto de Carvalho "Ginguba", said on Tuesday, after the defeat of his team against 1º de Agosto (102-90), that they were unable to stop the dversary in the match of the third round of group A, in the last phase of the "final four" stage of the first division championship.

Speaking to the press, the manager justified the loss of his team by admitting the opponents were superior and also the incapability of Petro de Luanda to stop 1º de Agosto's impetus.
"( ) We didn't win the game because 1º de Agosto were better. Congratulations to them, but we keep on working for better performances in the next matches", he underlined by stressing that nothing is lost yet, despite the disadvantage.
"There are still three rounds left, I believe that if we correct the mistakes of today, we will be better in the other matches", he added.
Petro de Luanda have lost for the sixth time against 1º de Agosto in the National Championship, having only beaten the adversary once.

This is the first game out of four matches for this phase of the competition.
These two teams are to face each other again on 27 May in Luanda's Cidadela main pavilion.
