UGANDA : Miracle Lose Star Guard Komakech

MIRACLE'S dream of making a maiden appearance in the play-offs this season have suffered a setback as they will have to do without their playmaker Ben Komakech.
The lethal point guard has already picked transfer forms from the Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations (Fuba) and intends to join 2000 league champions Sadolin Power.
Miracle finished fourth from bottom in the topflight league last season and Komakech's departure could render the Rubaga-based side relegation candidates in the league that begins on April 11.
Another star, Edward Bongomin, who has barely spent two seasons at the club is also linked with a move to Gulu Hawks.
Yet Miracle have not brought in any new recruitments at the moment. Komakech will team up with Isaac Afidra, who has re-joined Power from Kampala International University (KIU) as the Wandegeya-based team seeks to win a first championship since 2000.
Meanwhile, former Livingstone captain Rogers Sserunyigo has completed his move from troubled Charging Rhino to league champions Mogas Falcons.

Frances Nabulobi (Lady Bucks) and David Kiberu (Rhino) have also picked forms but are yet to indicate their clubs of interest.

The transfer window and registration of players by clubs end on March 23.
