UGANDA : Falcons, Power Lock Horns in Grudge Tie

RECORD champions Mogas Falcons and Sadolin Power face off tonight at Lugogo on day one of the National Basketball League second round as they seek to keep pace with runaway leaders Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons Mukono.

Cannons didn't lose game in first round and top the 10-man table with 18 points while Falcons are second with 15, one better than third-placed Power.

Falcons suffered a 54-55 painful loss to Power in first round and will definitely be going for revenge.

In that particular, Falcons had a one-point lead with five seconds to play, but Mark Enabu converted on the line to give Power the victory.

With a tight race expected for play-off places, Kyambogo Warriors will be keen to snatch maximum points from Makerere Youth Heaters to avoid last minute hitches.
The top four teams also have more reason to worry now that defending champions Nkumba Marines have closed in to fifth position. Only four teams play in the best-of-three semi final play-off series.

In the women's category, defending champions Lady Bucks, down in fifth place, take on third-placed KIU Rangers with hope of keeping close to unbeaten table leaders KCC Leopards.

Today
Warriors v Heaters
Power v Falcons

Women
Lady Bucks v Rangers
