"The season has been great so far, mostly because I have been playing alongside very seasoned and good players who compliment my game very well," Jallow said.

Jallow said that he tries hard to juggle his performance in relation to the team's winning percentage, and that the award will see him continue to strive harder, as he will now be a bigger target for opposition teams.

"Basketball is a team sport and almost all the personal accolades are a direct representation of the team. With that in mind, I want to say a huge thank you to all my team mates. I couldn't have asked for a better group of guys," he said.Other contender's this month included - Simon Conn (Sandringham), Darryl Corletto (Melbourne), Timothy Gainey (Warrnambool) and Lester Strong (Warrnambool).
