Lagos City league leader, union Bank basketball club of Lagos Wednesday takes its unbeated run in the league to eleven with a 71-62 points victory over hard fighting Chariot basketball club of Lagos at the sports hall of the Lagos National Stadium, Surulere.

The Gboyega Vidal tutored side took an early lead in the tension soaked match against the Chariot who provided a surprised performance in the fourth quarter that revive their confidence to the chargrin of the bankers after trailing the Stallion boys by 30 points at the end of the third quarter.
Chariot coach, Dave Onmhoke praised his players for putting up such a spirited fight in a game the Union Bank team felt was over with five-star performance from Chariot experience point guard, Chris Nomigo whose barrages of three points shots cut off narrow the wide margin between his team and the Banker.
The two team will thrill fans on Friday in the revise fixtures of the league which promises to be another thriller as Chariot players and handlers have vowed to upstaged the star-studded Union Bank.
In other matches decided Wednesday, Islanders kept its hope of playing in the playoffs alive with a 64-38 points win over much improved Sea Rovers while Police Bombers fought hard to wade off stiff opposition from Whales for it sixth win with a 57-51 points victory.
Six matches are on the bill Friday with the star match of the day between Dodan Warriors and Ebun Comets basketball clubs a must watch for basketball fans in Lagos.
Islanders and Sea Rovers will take the centre stage in the first match of the day in one of the revised fixtures while Police Bombers mount yet another road block for the Whales from Isolo.
The Raptors versus Kennys' Bullets match is one in which the Lateef Folami Bullets can't afford to toil with after suffering two consecutive defeat in the hand of Dodan warriors and Union Bank.
The defending City league champion will want to use the encounter against Raptors to get back to reckoning in the race for a spot in the playoffs.
The Kadets versus Warriors Academy pairing is a battle between two bottom placed teams which makes it more interesting as both side are from the same Dodan Warriors Basketball Project under the leadership of Col. Sam Ahmedu (Rtd).
