Marines vs Power 7 p.m.

KCC Lions 47 Crane High 65

Sadolin Power will be seeking to avoid a repeat of last season's performance when they take on defending champions Nkumba University Marines in game one of the best of five MTN Basketball League final play-off series today at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
Last year Power had an experience to forget, going down easily in three straight games.

Ken Balyejusa and Wilbrod Oketcho have made a timely return to boost Power as they chase the trophy that has eluded them for four seasons. Kenyan import Michael Karuiki will combine with Oketcho in the Power frontcourt.

Marines go into the final with confidence having beaten Falcons, the best team in the regular season. Marines' advantage is that they have come to believe in teamwork other than individual skill. They deposed Falcons with their best player Norman Blick seated on the bench for the biggest part due to foul trouble.

Donald Blick, Salim Ali, Boniface Okello, Karl Mugalu and Carrol Bisereko have formed one of the most entertaining combinations in the league.
Seven-time champions Lady Bucks take on KCC Leopards in the women's final. It’s Leopards' first appearance in the final and they will look up to Linda Tamale, Becky Akullo and Miriam Hamala.

Hi, nice blog you have here. I was wondering if the Ugandan league has a mixture of amateur and professional teams(or semi-pro which is more likely), as many of the teams are named after universities/high schools. Keep up the great coverage of african basketball
