GHANA : CEPS emerged champions of tournament

The National Basketball champions, the Customs, Excise and Preventive Services (CEPS) whipped Legon Shepherds 28-19 to lift the Oguaa Fetu Afahye Cup in a special basketball tournament staged at the University of Cape Coast hockey pitch to round off sporting activities of the Festival.

The CEPS players who made victory certain for the security men were Daniel Armah, Richard Darko and Baniba Dodzie who combined beautifully during the proceedings to bring the full time scores to their favour CEPS.

University of Cape Coast also thrashed Accra "After Seven" 30-25 to place third while 91After Seven' narrowly beat Takoradi "Da" 29-28 for the fourth position with Takoradi "Da" losing all their four matches to place last.

In the Women's division, Legon Shepherds beat Takoradi "Da" 19-6 to lift the ultimate Cup in their division. Mr Lawal Peregrino-Briamah, head coach of CEPS commended the players for their splendid performance during the tournament and urged them to take their training seriously for their impending match against Togo "CBS".
