The ladies team is made up of Diana (Lusoti), Thandeka (St. Mark’s), Amanda, Nonhlanhla (St. Christopher’s), Zandi, Dennis, Yellow, Nomvuyo and Nokwanda (St. Michael’s).

SNBA committee member Barney Maphanga said they would soon select the final team of 25 players. Maphanga said they would continue hosting more selection tournaments when the schools re-open for the second term.

“We are still to select some of the players who might have been left out this time. Schools like Waterford and Sifundzani were left out during the selection and we want to give them a chance.

We were impressed with the players’ individual skills during the tournament, hence they qualified to be selected to the team.

Once we have picked the final team, we will make arrangements that the players train together so that they get to know each other,” he said.
