SEYCHELLES : Bertin joins Premium Cobras

BANNED until the end of the first round of the 2006 season, Danny Bertin will make his comeback in basketball with Premium Cobras.

Feared for his ability to knock down treys, the sharp shooter has decided to leave Beau Vallon Heat to join Men division 1A leaders Premium Cobras at the end of the first round transfer window.

It must be noted that Beau Vallon Heat were relegated from the Men division 1A league at the end of the 2005 season and without a win in six games, they are carrying the weight of the Men division 1B standings.

While Bertin has been brought in to add to Premium Cobras’ offensive strategy, Nigel Cafrine has decided to leave the leaders to join his former team SMB Razorback.

After making a name for himself with SMB Razorback, Cafrine joined Premium Cobras last year and although he had a strong start to the 2006 season, he saw himself playing a substitute role and with limited playing time in recent matches.
Third in the top flight, SMB Razorback have also welcomed Karim César from PLS Hawks and Roger Baron from RC Dynamics.

Mervin Joubert has decided to leave Men division 1B side Bel Air Blazers to play for Mont Fleuri Dawgz in the Men division two.

As for John Philoé, he has left LMS Youth for LMS Jazz in the bottom division.

Four young female players have also changed allegiance. Vanessa Samynadin, Vanessa Dugasse, Anessa Rath and Annie Cedras have moved from Cadettes to Juniors.
