LIBERIA: LNOC Setlles LBF Crisis

The Liberia National Olympic Committee(LNOC) has finally settled the crisis in the Liberia Basketball Federation (LBF) involving the Uhuru Kings basketball team and NPA Pythons. Uhuru Kings recently filed a protest against the NPA Pythons basketball team for using a foreign play Emmanuel Bassey with out his transfer certificate, but the LBF ruled in favor of NPA Pythons. Uhuru Kings then took the case to the Olympic Committee. Following the investigation, the Olympic Committee ruled that game three of the best out of three semi final match between the two be play over and the secretary General and the Technical Committee chairman of the LBF be suspended. The reschedule match was played yesterday and was won by NPA Pythons 81-62 points. This means Pythons will meet Invincible again in the grand final which is expected to begin on Friday May 19, 2006.
In a related development, T-Chons and Commissioners have won the second and third division championship respectively. The second division female final came to an end on May 15, when Phoenix beat rival K-Delta in four games in their best out of five final.
