KAMPALA International University (KIU) men's side is targeting Najja High's stars Eric Nyamai and Salim Ali as a re-enforcement for the new 2006 MTN league season.
Team coach Nimrod Kaboha told Daily Monitor that the two S.6 leavers are his first target in order to bring back the team's ‘league ‘ giants' status.

"They are currently out of Uganda for their holidays but I had talked to them before they left. When they come back, it will be the first thing to initiate them into the team," Kaboha said.

Nyamai and Salim helped guide the High School boys' historical wins over top league sides Charging Rhinos, KIU and eventual champions Marines in the closing stages of last season.

However, KIU faces stiff competition from Marines who also want the services of the two players.
KIU had a poor show last season and were only saved from relegation by the league expansion which forced FUBA to increase the top conference teams to 10, thus retaining relegated teams.

Sensational Isaac Afidra will lead the side against top Yellow Max rivals Marines, Sadolin Power, Warriors, Rhinos, Miracle, Falcons and the newly promoted Gulu Hawks and Livingstone.

Deng Patrick and Charles Wandera left the team for further studies in the US.
The women side KIU Rangers has signed Tewin Ssemakula and Aisha Nalumansi. The league tips off on March 31.
