RWANDA: APR take on ESPOIR

Arsene Bwanakubwa, the ESPOIR tactician’s eyes sweat revenge against the APR outfit.
Military Basketball side APR will be taking on arch-rivals ESPOIR basketball this Saturday in the National basketball league opener as the intensive rivalry between the two Kigali-based sides continues.

However, the military side has expressed dismay over the absence of their top two players as the club prepares to clash ESPOIR basketball Club at Rafiiki courts this Saturday.
The army side who only registered one loss at the hands of ESPOIR during the 2005 National basketball league season will go into the game without their star center Shalishali Kimanuka who is ill; and influential guard Mputu Tadibanga who lost a relative.
However, despite this heartbreak, the defending champions have expressed great buoyancy and grit as they go into this gigantic encounter.
Speaking to Chris Owor, the APR tactician, he noted that the players have been in good form and have great confidence which is key to winning any game.
He said that the pair of Jean de Dieu Umuchoni and Frank Rubanzangabo would fill up the center and guard positions.
The Kenyan tactician further said that he was expecting positive results from his side despite the fact that they will be playing away from home.
